Manage Your Course Creators#

You can grant permissions in studio for a user to be an staff or admin in each course without the need of any special permissions.

However, course creation permissions, as well as library creation permissions are more restrictive and will need to be granted from the Edunext Control Center in the my platform section and the Course authors tab.

This page will allow you to request the addition or removal of special permissions to one of your users in STUDIO.

This includes things like:

  • Course creation permissions for a particular ORG

  • Admin permissions for all courses in a particular ORG

  • Library creation permissions

Note

FREE and BASIC Nimbus SaaS subscriptions are limited to 1 Course creator only.

Grant Course-creation Permissions to a User#

Keep in mind that all users are first created from your LMS site registration page.

Whenever you need to turn a user into a course creator or library creator, you can do so by giving them additional permissions as explained below.

When you signed up for the cloud subscription with eduNEXT, one user was created for your LMS site and STUDIO, and that user was granted course creation permissions from the start.

Under normal conditions, we recommend restricting the course creation operation to as few users as possible to maintain consistency across all courses that are created.

If you must share the course creation permission with additional users, you will need to request this permission to be assigned to the user by the eduNEXT support team. Before making the request, please ensure that the user is already created on the LMS site and activated.

Give Your Author Permission to Create Libraries#

Just as it happens with course creation permissions, for a user to be able to create libraries, permission needs to be assigned.

Under normal conditions, we recommend restricting the library creation operation to as few users as possible to maintain consistency across all libraries.

Since libraries are reusable objects, after they are created, additional users can be added to the library so that they can also modify and use the said library.

If you must share the library creation permission with additional users, you will need to request this permission to be assigned to the user by the eduNEXT support team.

Before making the request, please ensure that the user is already created on the LMS site and activated.
